Meet Darlene

 

Hello, my name is Dee.

 

I started on my Reiki Journey in 2016, it was a bittersweet year for me.  I was in the best health of my life…so I thought.  I lost a substantial amount of weight and was taking good care of myself, continued to choose healthy foods, exercised regularly and yet my health seemed to be failing. I was seeing doctors on a monthly basis and taking eight medications for seven different ailments. My divorce was finalized and a very special person in my life passed away.  I mentally, physically and spiritually hit rock bottom.  I was mad at the world. I felt so lost and all alone.

 

I was working two jobs at the time, working full time for a nationwide company in the finance department and part time at Crystal Sage, a local aromatherapy business.  My employers, Ron and Judy of Crystal Sage invited me to attend a Wellness Expo, where they sold their products. I was always looking for ways to improve my health, I was grateful for the invite.  I walked around the Expo finding many holistic modalities.  The one modality that I was intrigued by was Reiki, Energy Healing.  I was mesmerized of the beauty of the hands flowing over the body.  I wanted to experience this healing technique for myself.  During a 15-minute mini session, I was in a deep state of relaxation that I have never reached before.  My body was tingling, turning hot then cold, feeling the energy flowing through my body.  It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

 

I continued to express my love of Reiki to my employers at Crystal Sage.  That Christmas they gave me an amazing gift, a Reiki I class for self-healing.  Then the following Christmas they gave me a Reiki II class, to become a Reiki practitioner.  I then further my Reiki education becoming a Usui and Karuna Reiki® Master and Teacher.  It was a full year of giving myself Reiki.  When I went back to my doctors for an annual visit, my blood was drawn and sent to the lab for testing.  When I went for my follow up, the doctor was puzzled, my lab results came back boarder line normal!  I was then taken off five of my seven medications immediately.  I felt healthy, happy, motivated, I was at peace with myself, I love who I am, I am alive!  The only changes that I had in my life during that year was Reiki.

I was given the gift of a renewed life that I will be forever grateful.  In closing, I am now able to help others who seek to achieve a better way of living physically, mentally and spiritually.  It is now my passion and honor to assist others on their wellness journey.
